Your Role

The manager Logistics Engineering is responsible for the site engineering team, which consists of a logistics analyst, and 4 problem solvers. The Logistics Engineering manager ensures with his team the right optimization of resources and processes while achieving key quality, cost, and performance. 
The manager drives the operation, development, and implementation of key processes to ensure compliance within company policies and procedures. 


Main Resposabilities:

•    Maintains in depth knowledge of the various storage medium and configurations, as well as slotting and consolidation tools and operations, in order to maximize distribution location footprint.
•    Reviews slotting Key Performance Indicators (slotting accuracy, slotting health, etc) on weekly basis and assigns tasks to team members to improve productivity and service results
•    Tracks slotting and other projects driven by each team member against milestones and tasks, and hold them accountable for project deliverables.
•    Monitors replenishment vs plan on a daily basis and recommends actions to the team to make sure of desired inventory coverage levels.
•    Build and leverage relationships with functional leaders and internal business partners to deliver optimal capacity solutions.
•    Develop business tools and processes to capture and monitor metrics for capacity processes. 
•    Evaluate gaps in productivity and service balance, coordinate, and lead projects to improve the reliability and efficiency of the processes.
•    Maintains in depth knowledge of process flow and value stream mapping to drive optimization of people, tools, and resources.
•    Leads and executes the analysis of daily and weekly KPIs, identify root cause and execution of  corrective actions with support from cross-functional team members.  Leads a team that supports the tracking of project plans, scrutinizes delays if any, identifies help required and invokes escalation as required through the project steering committees.  
•    Supervises daily housekeeping tasks for all businesses (Contact lenses, Frames, Optical Lenses) through respective team members.
•    Present weekly KPI reporting to the leadership team.
•    Collaborate with the operations team to help implement changes to improve the planning of capacity levels and communicate closely with the Business Intelligence (BI) team on volume forecasting. 
•    Regularly analyze data to ensure that KPIs are met to develop and lead new processes, procedures, and corrective actions. 
•    Communicates effectively in a multi-functional and highly matrixed organization. 
•    Establishes a work environment that reflects and operates on the principals of EssilorLuxottica values.
•    Fosters an environment of engagement and inclusion and team building for all associates. Acts with advocacy, empathy, and accountability on behalf of the team.

 

 

Main Requirements:

•    Bachelor’s degree (Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, Economics, Engineering, Information Systems, or Industrial Engineering).
•    5+ years’ experience in Logistics/Supply Chain or a similar environment.
•    Experience delivering executive-level support within an executive office, including strong presentation skills.
•    Excellent attention to detail, high accuracy, and outstanding organizational skills.
•    Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a complex work environment.
•    Excellent oral and written communication skills that are professional and clear; ability to convey leadership’s voice orally and in writing.
•    Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple, complex projects simultaneously.
•    Ability to adhere to deadlines and deliverables and excel in a fast-paced environment.
•    Strong analytical & mathematical skills; able to extract conclusions from available data.
•    Proven ability to identify and resolve problems.
•    Ability to make independent decisions and exercise judgment.
•    High level of proficiency in the key components of Microsoft Office and willingness to deepen those skills as needed. 
•    Experience working with a RF based WMS and TMS systems 
•    Experience leading an operation with light assembly 
•    Experience with quality systems and ISO certification
