As Finance Controller for the Nordics region, you will focus on the preparation of accurate reports in order to support the Country General Manager in decision-making. You will also prepare Monthly Financial Reporting in coordination with accounting and our Shared Service Centre, work on budget and regular forecasts in coordination with relevant business functions and ensure commercial risks and opportunities are identified and understood. You will be expected to collaboratie on various cross-functional projects and process optimization initiatives. 

 

You will be involved in the following activities: 

  • Manage the planning and forecasting process for all financial KPIs and key financial data of the P&L, Balance Sheet, and Free Cash Flow.
  • Ensure that monthly closing is conducted in accordance with the company's accounting standards and HQ requirements.
  • Provide analytical support for management decision-making and provide insightful and novel analysis to highlight business opportunities and risks.
  • Review and challenge existing processes and implement new robust control measures.
  • Ensure Group Minimum Control Standards are adhered to and provide support to the business to resolve and remediate gaps.
  • Collaborate with colleagues across the North Cluster (Nordics, UK & Ireland) finance team to support development, learning and alignment.
  • Act as a strong business partner with the local team to enhance key business processes, thereby improving financial accuracy and effectiveness.
  • Execute accurate analysis, to support strategic priorities and minimize risks.
  • Drive value within the business through margin review, optimizing expenses, evaluating operational efficiencies.
  • Managing relationship with hub finance team (local, abroad), internal and external auditors, consultants.
  • Comply with internal and external policies.

 

Background, skills and experience of the candidate we are looking for:

  • University degree in Business or Finance (master’s degree preferred)
  • Extensive experience in financial and business administration, controlling, reporting, budgeting, and accounting.
  • Solid knowledge and experience of enterprise level systems such as SAP, Oracle, Hyperion.
  • Strong MS Office skills (advanced in Excel).
  • Excellent communication skills, able to work in a dynamic and evolving environment.
