Tooling & Fixture 3D Designer (Injection & Pressing)

Nice to know

This position will report to Injection Tooling Leader. The main goals are to ensure plant’s New Product Introduction and production volume delivery objectives through tooling design, monitor Injection and Press Mold Design KPIs.

You will be working closely with several departments including Production and Quality for production & NPI performance, product development & qualification, and many other initiatives. You will also be in constant contact with the global engineering team.

My day at EssilorLuxottica

• Design tools and Jig fixtures to support assembly and production tasks.

• Partner with Tool Shop to provide support, improve Tool Shop efficiency and prioritize tool design scheduling.

• Work closely with NPI (New Product Introduction) Team for release new models’ prioritization.

• Validated 3D and 2D drawings before delivering them to the Tool Shop.

• Manage Tool Design KPIs such as efficiency and quality rate

• Comply with company regulations and quality policies according to ISO standards.

• Support and contribute to the external/internal audits.

Must have

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalence.

• At least 2 years of experience and proficiency in 3D and 2D design for Injection or Press Mold.

• Have knowledge in Jig fixture designing is preferred.

• Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD programs such as SolidWorks, UG NX, CATIA, and especially PTC Creo is preferred.

• Experience with PDM software or Windchill will be an advantage.

• Have leadership and teamwork skills, maturity in the working process

• Basic English communication and ability to write email in English.
