My day at EssilorLuxottica

• Relationships & Spend
  • Clarify requirements from requesters
  • Drive spend towards preferred suppliers
  • Launch RFx (RFQ, RFP or RFI) as applicable and conduct cost evaluations
  • Coordinate supplier visits and meetings with Requesters
  • Lead supplier selection with right techno commercial conditions with the requester
  • Collaborate with internal customers to Monitor supplier performance and evaluation.
  • Payment term negotiation and cooperate supplier payment term improvement program
  • Escalate and bring to the attention of the sourcing leadership any concerns of Internal stakeholders
• Transactional Processes
  • Manage Vendor Management Data (VMD) for New suppliers and modification.
  • Manage RFx (RFQ, RFP or RFI) received from users.
  • Convert PR to PO for non stock items.
  • Monitor and follow up to ensure the timely delivery of goods and services of non stock purchases.
  • Maintain accurate database in system; provide reporting on areas of sourcing, supply, spend and PPV reports
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as local regulations and laws.
  • Maintain and support transactional activities of Indirect procurement on an interim basis, until full deployment of SAP
  • Undertake other duties as appropriate within his/her competence, as required by Country Sourcing Manager from time to time.

Must have

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Purchasing & Supply Chain Management / Engineering / Business Administration, or related disciplines
• At least 5 years experienced in sourcing, purchasing or procurement, experience in the manufacturing industry is preferred.
• Knowledge of import and export processes, logistics and supply chain functions are an advantage
• Understanding of sourcing processes, procurement best practices, and Logistics
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills for interaction effectively with stakeholders
• Good command of verbal and written communication skills (in English and the local language)
• Proficiency in MS Office, understanding of ERP system e.g., Oracle, SAP is a plus
• Mature, self-motivated, flexible, proactive, enthusiastic, capable of multi-tasking effectively
• Able to perform under pressure in a networked environment
• Strong team-player, and able to work independently
