We are looking for a motivated, curious and enterprising talent to join us at our Plant in Pederobba (TV). 

 

The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and reviewing the procedures and equipment involved in the manufacturing process. Their duties include but are not limited on researching automation techniques, testing new systems for efficiency and planning factory layouts to optimize production. Manufacturing Engineering Raw Post Molding uses its knowledge of engineering and mathematics to analyze manufacturing costs and KPIs and improve processes. He also develops relationships with the other Regions, participating in the benchmarks.

 

Here some of the responsabilities you will have:

 

• Ensure that the company’s manufacturing processes are in compliance with all government laws and regulations

• Analyze production processes, schedules, methods, and other data and then provide management with reports containing the data and statistics to enable management to better understand future requirements needed for the manufacturing process. Process measurement (OEE, capabilities, cycle time, balancing, desaturation)

• Manage continuous improvement projects with 6 sigma analysis and method test plans (DOE).

• Review and calculate labor, material (direct and indirect), and other production costs along with reviewing schedules and future production requirements to assist management in decision making

• Analyze and plan workflow, equipment placement and space requirements to improve manufacturing efficiency.

• Benchmarking

• Process standardization and optimization

 

PORTRAIT OF A PERFECT CANDIDATE

 

You know you are a Luxottican when you recognize yourself in our 4 characteristics (imaginative, passionate, entrepreneurial, simple and fast) and:

 

  • You got an Mechanical or Material Engineering degree
  • You got 1-3 years of experience 
  • You have good analytical skills, you are flexible and have great communication and organizational skills
  • Did you work or study abroad? This is great!
  • Fluent English (of course)
