Your role 


We are looking for a Customs Manager who will be based in our Logistics Facility near Nottigham and will support Customs Activities in EMEA Region with focus on UK, ensuring compliance with import-export regulations, preparing documentation dealing with Customs Authorities and Logistics Providers.
The role will be required to recover Customs documents granting record keeping standards and supporting the application of tools and standards to other UK Companies part of the EssilorLuxottica Group.

 

Main responsibilities: 
•    Coordinate with Customs Authorities and Logistics Providers
•    Maintain relations with Customs Authorities in UK in case of audits or specific requests
•    Provide Customs Clearance information to Customs Brokers
•    Assist Logistics Team to avoid delays in Customs Clearance 
•    Provide support for audits and compliance checks from Authorities or Internal Departments
•    Perform controls and ask for documents revision
•    Maintain accurate records of Customs Clearances, retrieving Customs documentation
•    Monitor changes in Customs Regulations
•    Connect with other EL Group Entities to check their standards
•    Reporting

 

Main requirements:

•    At least 3 years of experience in the Customs field
•    Good knowledge of import – export processes
•    Good interpersonal skills in particular with Authorities
•    Familiarity with Harmonized Codes 
•    Familiarity with Trade-Customs compliance requirements
•    Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PowerPoint)
•    Preferential SAP ERP knowledge
•    Basic understanding of Logistics and Supply Chain processes
•    Organizational skills and time management
•    Accuracy in managing data and documentation
•    Proactive attitude and willingness to work in team
