We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to join our FP&A Team based in North Sydney. In this role you’ll provide financial insights, support strategic decision-making, and contribute to the overall financial health of EssilorLuxottica. You’ll work closely with cross-functional teams both locally and with our Milan HQ to analyse performance, optimize budgets, and drive profitability in a fast-paced retail environment across our brands.
Requirements for Success
- Prepare structured reports to support discussions on financial performance
- Conduct ad-hoc analyses to gain deeper insights into positive or negative trends
- Complete month-end activities (e.g. journal postings, reporting) accurately and on time
- Review and track monthly spending against budget with cost centre owners, providing insights on risks and opportunities to the FP&A team
- Perform reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and consistency across systems and reports
- Support the planning and budgeting process for relevant P&L lines, ensuring budget holders receive aligned and accurate plans
- Monitor investments to track performance and ensure expected ROI is achieved
- Identify and recommend process and system improvements to key stakeholders
- Assist the FP&A team with ad-hoc financial analysis as needed
Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field.
- 1- 2 years of experience in financial analysis, preferably in retail or a fast-paced industry
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in financial modelling and data interpretation
- Advanced Excel skills; experience with systems e.g. SAP, Hyperion is a plus.
- Ability to communicate financial insights effectively to non-finance stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to improving financial processes
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines
