Credit Control Officer

At EssilorLuxottica, our Credit Controllers are responsible for managing a debt portfolio to remediate outstanding debts and minimize the exposure of the EssilorLuxottica business. Reporting to our Credit Manager for ANZ the role will involve working within the Credit Policy to review overdue and outstanding accounts, and where needed, appropriate follow-up actions are taken on outstanding debtors. The Credit Controllers liaise with the Sales team on customer accounts to align on actions and credit conditions, conduct regular monitoring activities including the level of payments in arrears, account reconciliations and review credit applications received.

Our ideal Credit Controller:

• Is a proactive, action-taker - always looking for ways to support their colleagues and to take actions to improve the work processes and environment.
• Minimum 2 years in a credit department, managing a portfolio of debtors and ensuring the timely and accurate recording of their payment status and actions.
• Is great at building relationships internally and externally to get results and demonstrates this through excellent written and verbal communication skills (a sense of humour helps too!);
• Establishes their own priorities in accordance with the team goals and priorities
• Comfortable in managing high volumes in peak times via phone & emails from customers  
• Has demonstrated their ability to negotiate credit terms, and the resilience to follow up with the terms are breached.
• Has experience in Oracle, Word & Excel.
