GENERAL FUNCTION

This role will be responsible for all projects relating to product flow from the Distribution Center to the EssilorLuxottica NA Retail stores, the reverse logistics, and content for communications to associates and stores. Partner with both Local Assortment Execution teams, Central Product and Planning teams on key functions including stock transfers and recalls. Role will work closely with Store Operations to ensure seamless execution in the store, as well as keep AE Key account partners and Brand teams updated on all relevant activities.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • INVENTORY MANAGEMENT: Support the “last mile” product planning with Distribution, After Sales Center, Location Planning, and Inventory Control
    • Collaborate with Store Operations and Distribution Center to manage AE for store remodels, openings, and closings.
    • Receive store inventory concerns from field leaders, review and share with global planning team.
    • Point of contact for local store replenishment shipping issues (delays, quality, etc.)– coordinate solution with relevant team to rectify. 
    • Replenishment variant intervention and priority order management
    • Monitor inventory postings to identify issues timely and work with relevant teams to resolve (Master Data Errors, IDoc Issues, etc.)
    • Support ongoing monitoring of service level to identify potential opportunities.
    • Report on Physical Inventory Results
  • RECALLS/STORE TRANSFERS: Project manage the execution of the reverse logistics (Recall / RTV) process and timeline in collaboration with the Global Retail team and Store Operations team to support open to buy strategies:
    • Assist location planners with local insights and analyst to determine store level stock opportunities and recommendation for recalls (cross referencing strategy alignment).
    • Drive sales and optimize inventory through the execution of recalls and store-to-store transfers – managing end to end process and compliance following up on all executional details.
    • Partner with Location Planning and After Sales DC to plan workload, based on inventory transfers.
    • Reconcile recalls prior to Physical Inventory and partner with Inventory Control to ensure accurate book inventory for store counts.
    • Support Store Operations and Inventory Control as Retail Inventory Accuracy SME
    • Analyze inventory by store for impacted SKUs and provide Store Operations and Store Finance to determine Labor impact.
  • PROJECT COLLABERATIONS:
    • Maintain local activity calendar to align to brand provided guidelines.
    • Support all local ad-hoc brand project local initiative.
    • Support local monitoring of inventory related tests.
    • Support on RFID project as Retail Inventory Accuracy SME
    • Build cross functional relationships with corporate and field partners to proactively evolve best practices to deliver continued retail excellence.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in retail, finance, marketing, or related field
  • 7+ years’ work experience in retail planning, buying, or merchandising.
  • Working knowledge of Planning, Buying and Merchandising principles
  • Experience using SAP or similar system.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes and system
  • Strong knowledge of MS Office including advanced Excel and Outlook skills
  • Strong analytical and mathematical skills - able to extract conclusions from available data.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA or similar advanced degree

​Pay Range: 123,360.80  - 179,224.40 

 

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
