GENERAL FUNCTION

The Sr. Sales Representative partners with brokers and consultants to sell EyeMed vision benefits within the EyeMed small and mid-market business segment. The Sr. Sales Representative works toward cultivating new relationships and managing existing broker relationships, effectively presenting the EyeMed value proposition, and managing the sales process within an assigned market. The Sr. Sales Representative partners with an experienced, high performing in-market rep who will act as a mentor to ensure success.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • With the guidance of RVP and mentor, manages an assigned territory focused on new sales within group size 10-2000.
  • Defines and executes on strategy to develop relationships with assigned brokers via in-market initiatives to grow sales within book of business.
  • Educates broker constituents through in person meetings, presentations, and telephonic efforts.
  • Learns the EyeMed value proposition and presents it effectively to brokers and clients.
  • Executes quote requests, follows up and facilitates the sales process to exceed broker expectations.
  • Leverages internal departments to facilitate sales process, and collaborates with internal sales teams to develop sales strategy and deliver quotes.
  • Partners with the RVP and mentor to manage sales process internally and externally while utilizing appropriate stakeholders/resources.
  • Manages process and sales metrics utilizing EyeMed’s systems, including a CRM tool.
  • Executes post-quote follow-up activity to refine and achieve broker acceptance.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 1+ year(s) of business experience with sales, sales support, or related role
  • Possess an Accident and Health Insurance License or ability to obtain license within 60 (sixty) days of hire within necessary states
  • Customer/client support experience
  • Comfort forming new client/customer relationships via telephone and face-to-face
  • Excellent communication skills (written/verbal) and ability to embrace change
  • Demonstrated achievement and leadership in sales or sales support
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Proficient skills in MS Word, Excel and Outlook

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Benefits/Insurance experience in a sales or sales support role
  • Business to Business sales experience
  • Territory management skills
  • Knowledge of Brokerage industry
  • Experience using SalesForce.com

​Pay Range: 61,290.78  - 104,786.08 

 

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package. Benefits may include health care, retirement savings, paid time off/vacation, and various employee discounts.
