GENERAL FUNCTION

The Manager - Finance Analytics will play a critical role within the Finance team to develop and deliver value generating insight & analysis for the organization. The Manager will navigate through multiple data sources, derive actionable insights, and translate complex financial and economic results into simple conclusions that will enable and influence executive leaders to make strategic business decisions.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Analyze complex data, identify anomalies, and provide useable insights to business leaders in the form of dashboards and reports in order to influence strategy.
  • Develop routine and ad hoc analytic models for business intelligence and financial performances.
  • Ensure appropriate tracking, monitoring and reporting capabilities for key performance indicators. Continuously assess performance and process improvement opportunities to drive accuracy and efficiency.
  • Learn and monitor industry trends and best practices to continuously enhance data and reporting capabilities.
  • Translate business questions into analytical problems to solve, extrapolate actionable insights from data analysis, and communicate critical findings to business partners efficiently.
  • Collaborate and partner with Executive Leaders from across the organization to use data driven insights and solutions to execute business strategies.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Mathematics, Finance or related field
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in business, finance, statistical or data analysis
  • Ability to assimilate facts/data from various sources; develop analyses that provide key business insight
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Demonstrated ability to build the business through improved analysis, trending and reporting
  • Proficiency with Excel (pivot tables, v lookups, etc)
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • MBA
  • Experience with Business Objects and SQL for Facets
  • Experience using statistical and mathematical models
  • Experience with analysis and reporting in healthcare or insurance industry

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
