GENERAL FUNCTION

The Account Manager is responsible for developing, growing and retaining key strategic partnerships. This role fosters relationships with internal and external stakeholders, supports operational needs and implements growth objectives of the assigned Strategic Partner client(s). The Account Manager helps to achieve annual membership, retention, revenue and profitability goals. EyeMed’s Strategic Partner segment includes many large national and regional health and/or specialty insurance plans.

  

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Builds and maintains strong relationships cross-functionally within health plan partners at multiple levels and across commercial and/or government segments.
  • Supports strategic business plans focused on retention, growing business and achieving financial targets for assigned Strategic Partner client(s).
  • Consults with external Strategic Partner stakeholders to identify and achieve goals of both EyeMed and the Strategic Partner organizations.
  • Successfully represents client needs within internal organization and influences key internal teams to achieve client focused expectations and implement client requests.
  • Identifies client influencers and develops strong partnerships.
  • Collaborates with Strategic Partner sales and marketing organizations to deliver new business growth objectives.
  • Maintains solid understanding and ensures consistent delivery of Strategic Partner’s ongoing operational and reporting requirements and expectations.
  • Serves as a thought leader and vision care expert internally and externally to develop innovative processes / successes.

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Possess an Accident and Health Insurance License in the necessary state(s) or ability to obtain license within 60 (sixty) days of hire
  • 3+ years of Account Management experience or high level performer with proven ability in relatable roles
  • Strong presentation skills and executive presence
  • Proficient skills in MS Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Business to Business client support experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Flexibility to travel up to 40%
  • Exceptional verbal and written professional communication skills
  • Goal driven high performer with demonstrated success
  • Sense of urgency responding to customers

 

 PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge of vision benefits and/or insurance industry

 

Employee pay is determined by multiple factors, including geography, experience, qualifications, skills and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may also be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan, which complements a first-class total rewards package.
