The Vision Care Training Expert is responsible for the delivery, facilitation and monitoring of Leonardo activities across their assigned area of expertise and scope. He/She will provide a consultative interaction with stakeholders to promote alignment of the training content to the business needs and to the relevant target audience (wholesale, retail, offices, labs). This includes partnering with Leonardo leadership and Head of Global Vision Care in creating learning curriculums, engaging activities, and impactful content for all learners within the assigned area.
This role can be based either at our London or Nottingham office.
Day-day responsibilities:
- Design and deliver both in-person and virtual classroom, on-line learning, self-study, and complete blended programs to meet business goals and objectives.
- Develop and deliver Continuing Professional Development (CPD) to Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians that meets the General Optical Council requirements.
- Use scientific/clinical knowledge and industry experience to build credibility quickly and produce highly valued, industry-leading CPD content.
- Be task-oriented with great organizational skills, able to manage multiple projects & stakeholders.
- Drive and promote learning curriculum for assigned scope and area.
- Track and deliver on Leonardo KPI’s.
- Help build and reinforce a culture of learning to drive sales, colleague performance and consolidate relationships with clients.
- Able to bring innovative ideas with research to improve the learning experience of internal colleagues and external clients.
- Partner/consult with Education Managers on the effective assessment of learners’ needs against ideal behaviors that drive performance results.
- Assess and provide feedback on training and content needs based on data collection during classroom sessions/field visits/digital surveys.
- Remain up to date on key initiatives, changes, and strategies within the market and industry and stay informed of current virtual delivery trends, tools, and strategies.
- Build and foster relationships with learners to influence and grow a strong culture of digital learning.
- Support field leadership in building teams of the best people, fully engaged.
- Assist with the development and implementation of training strategy, initiatives, incentives and curriculum in their market.
- Motivate, coach, and inspire learners to be avid brand/product ambassadors.
- Track and analyse the effectiveness of training solutions; gather feedback from the learners and relay back to local and corporate team to evolve training offerings.
- Review localised content for digital courses of the assigned scope and area.

Your background, skills and experience:
- Degree in optometry with strong scientific/clinical/medical affairs knowledge
- Significant optical experience, including roles outside of practice
- Proven track record of training delivery
- Prior experience of delivering CPD and learning
- Clear understanding of digital and virtual learning tools
- Outstanding virtual & face-to-face facilitation skills, strong communication and influencing abilities
- Strong relationship and stakeholder management skills
- Adaptable and able to effectively prioritise.
- Excellent IT skills including Microsoft packages.
- Ability to travel to other sites where necessary.
