Lead the definition, deployment and continuous improvement of the Environmental, Health & Safety strategy, ensuring alignment with EssilorLuxottica Group standards and local legal requirements. Drive a strong prevention culture across the organization, promote sustainable operations and ensure the achievement of EHS objectives through leadership, governance and stakeholder engagement. Responsible for the development of the EHS roadmap, management systems, compliance framework and operational excellence initiatives, while supporting business growth and organizational transformation

The role is located in Rio de Mouro plant.

Job Reponsabilities :

Strategic Leadership

• Define and execute the site's EHS strategy in alignment with local business priorities and Group objectives.
• Establish medium and long-term EHS roadmaps, objectives and performance targets.
• Act as a key advisor to the Operations Leadership Team regarding EHS risks, opportunities and compliance requirements.

People Leadership

• Lead, coach and develop the EHS team.
• Build organizational EHS capabilities through training, engagement and leadership programs.
• Drive accountability across all management levels for EHS performance.

Governance, Compliance & Risk Management

• Ensure full compliance with legal, regulatory and Group EHS requirements.
• Oversee site risk assessment processes and define mitigation plans.
• Maintain effective monitoring of regulatory changes and their implementation.
• Compliance with RGPD standards and regulations, in connection with RGPD coordination.

Management Systems & Certifications

• Own and govern the EHS management systems framework (ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and future certifications).
• Ensure successful certification audits and continuous system improvement.

Sustainability & ESG

• Lead sustainability initiatives related to environmental performance, waste management, energy efficiency and carbon reduction.
• Support ESG reporting and corporate sustainability commitments.

Business Partnership

• Partner with Operations team, HR, and all support function (Engineering, Maintenance and Supply Chain, among others) to integrate EHS into business decisions and projects.
• Ensure EHS considerations are incorporated into investments, new processes and organizational changes.

Budget & Resources Management

• Develop and manage the EHS budget.
• Ensure effective allocation of resources and prioritization of initiatives based on risk and business needs.

Audit & Incident Management

• Oversee internal and external audits.
• Lead investigations of serious incidents and ensure corrective and preventive actions are implemented and sustained.

KPI Management & Reporting

• Define, monitor and communicate EHS performance indicators.
• Present results, risks and improvement plans to local and regional leadership teams.

Candidate Profile :

• 8+ years of experience in Environmental, Health & Safety.
• Minimum 5 years in leadership/management positions within industrial or manufacturing environments.
• Demonstrated experience managing EHS management systems (ISO 14001 / ISO 45001).
• Strong knowledge of Portuguese EHS legislation.
• Experience leading audits, risk management programs and sustainability initiatives.
• Proven people management and change management capabilities.
• Budget management experience.
• CAP Level VI in Occupational Safety (mandatory).
• CCP Trainer Certification (mandatory).
