GENERAL FUNCTION
The Rx Demand Analyst will analyze Rx network demand and recommend methods to optimize production across EssilorLuxottica North America. This position is the linchpin of our Rx SOP process and is responsible for bridging the gap between strategic and tactical forecasts to allow us to better forecast our labs requirements.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Works closely with Finance and Commercial teams to understand total network prescription lens demand evolution and forecast
- Consolidates total network demand forecast as an output to assist in production plan allocation for each production lab based on capacity and capability.
- Monitors demand trend weekly for accuracy and bias and attacks weak points with Finance & Commercial teams.
- Supports project teams by generating practical solutions to complex business problems.
- Continuously improves decision support systems and processes.
- Manage total Rx volume consensus forecast and business unit level forecast and improve bias of existing process.
- In charge of challenging the provided commercial forecast and confirming trends.
- Communicate Demand evolution with both leadership and industrial planning teams.
- Create and deliver written analysis in a variety of formats (reports, excel, email, PPT, including visualization of data and findings), formulating recommendations, and effectively presenting results to various teams within EssilorLuxottica.
- Monitor incoming demand volumes, ensuring forecast accuracy and bias remain between strict thresholds.
- Work with cross-functional teams to understand the business and to make appropriate recommendations on how to use forecasting analytics to help solve business needs.
- Ensure a well maintained and robust continuous improvement environment that meets current and future business needs by identifying opportunities for improvement.
- Define and capture the metrics to measure the impact and success of these improvements.
- Gather user requirements needed for new data/report evaluations to monitor production optimization and success.
- Participate in the definition, evaluation, development, and deployment of new reports & reporting solutions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's Degree in relevant field; master’s degree or MBA a plus
- Integrated business planning and/or Sales & Operations Planning experience.
- Fully proficient in MS Office Suite – (Especially Excel)
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Business Intelligence experience in data collection, management, and metrics.
- Outstanding verbal, written, and communication skills in both business and IT environments.
- Knowledge of the optical industry a plus.
