Main missions:

 

Purpose: to guarantee the technical and functional consistency of all Products within its scope, over their entire lifespan and in compliance with the guidelines given by the Steering Committee. The products are intended for micromechanical or optical measurements of frames or ophthalmic lenses.

 

- Responsibility for technical functional synthesis on project teams / results in the form of deliverables in compliance with the Group's QCD standards : Supervise and coordinate the technical activities of Projects, from concept validation to prototype verification, until transfer to production.

- Responsibility for cross-functional management of the Maintenance in Operational Conditions of the products within its scope : Lead and coordinate Series Life and MCO actions and validate the solutions adopted.

- Responsibility for providing a technical and technological vision to all stakeholders  : Contribute to the development of roadmaps and participate in competitive intelligence.

- Carry out cross-functional technical audit missions and contribute to the development of standards.

 

 

Job Responsabilities:

 

Under the direct supervision of the Technical Director of his activity and in close collaboration with the Marketing Product Managers, Project Managers and System Managers:

 

1) Supervise and coordinate the technical activities of Projects, from concept validation to prototype verification and transfer to production:

· Establish the technical architecture of the product, calculate and tolerance of the optical path and its components and/or calculate and tolerance axis by axis.

Provide technical advice for the convergence of needs expressed in the User Needs and the Functional Specifications (CDCF).

· Establish the Technical Specification reflecting the Need (STB), in conjunction with the CDCF and the Technical Specifications (CDCT), in compliance with normative and regulatory constraints and within the defined cost objectives.

· Establish the cost of the product and break it down into the objective of each sub-assembly.

· Lead the process of proposing, justifying and documenting architectural design choices and allocation of functions and performances to subsystems.

· Be responsible for the implementation of all technical specifications in the development and industrialization plans, contribute to the development and approve the STBs.

· Recommend and approve subsystem design choices.

· Contribute to leading the project/product risk management process and implementing actions to minimize these risks.

· Define and monitor the progress of verification and qualification plans, identify gaps and implement action plans in consultation with the Product Steering Committee.

· Supervise R&D activities for the implementation and application of verification plans for models, prototypes, subsystems and key components, including feasibility models, tools and benches.

· Participate in the definition, design and validation of industrial assembly/adjustment benches.

· Actively contribute to project reviews and ensure compliance with deadlines for various deliverables and assigned cost objectives.

 

2) Lead, ensure the responsiveness of Series Life and MCO actions and validate the solutions retained in this context:

· Propose developments linked to the identified product reliability/quality/cost issues, consistent with the Product Line roadmap.

· Lead the process of managing Change Requests issued by the different services, define processing priorities and management of subjects in consultation with stakeholders. Ultimately the Technical Product Manager validates the Change requests.

· Define, supervise, carry out if necessary and validate the actions carried out according to a plan identical to that defined for the projects.

· Ensure the correct application of the principles of Development and Configuration Management (Design Change).

 

3) Contribute to the development of roadmaps and participate in competitive intelligence:

· Contribute to the development of technology and product roadmaps, by being proactive and providing elements necessary for the establishment of priorities by the Product Committee.

· Participate in competitive monitoring in close liaison with Marketing.

 

4) Ensure cross-functional technical audit missions and contribution to the evolution of standards:

· Audit, if necessary, the studies carried out as part of the designs, the level of quality produced during manufacturing, and issue technical recommendations.

· Establish and audit the technical documentary repository of products in line with regulatory requirements and operational needs.

· Feed the feedback process and contribute to evolving design benchmarks and skills maps accordingly.

 

 

Candidate Profile:

 

  • Educational Background equivalent technical training (preferably engineer), ideally coming from the world of Optomechanics, Mechatronics, Micromechanics.
  • Optic skill : Calculation and tolerancing of optical elements, image processing,
  • Around ten years of experience, allowing him to become familiar with the different stages of the life cycle of a technological product.
  • Good multi-disciplinary technical sensitivity, system vision.
  • Good knowledge of the means of industrialization of mechanical components.
  • Practice of the V cycle.
  • QCD management (Quality / Costs / Deadlines).
  • Rigor in regulatory and documentary management DHF
  • Good softskills and attentive to human relations
