Within Global Lens Innovation Deployment, the mission of Surfacing - Edging & Mounting team is to industrialize new processes, technologies and products to deliver to facilities standard and robust manufacturing solutions + to define technical/flow solutions for any new business including frames, edging.

Your role

As a technical expert you will lead studies & projects in the field of Edging/Mounting (to cut the lens at the frame shape to fit in) to deliver solutions to our business units and manufacturing facilities.  You will participate to industrialization projects in line with these new technologies and will transfer the knowledge to worldwide engineering teams.

Main responsibilities:

• To define technical / flow solutions for all of our customers: Supply Chain for new business or industrial flow, Business Units for frame catalog or new activities, Lens Design Categories for any products/technologies impacting the current edging process and Smart Eyewear Unit for supporting them on the definition of challenging edging solutions.
• To ensure a techno watch of patent in partnership with IP department, within the field of ophthalmic application.
• To share technical expertise (Process Control Plan /Fundamentals & training) used in manufacturing equipment within the group and following our internal training team guidance.
• To be active in the Frame activities around frame characteristics, description and qualification in order to better perform the lens transformation.
• To manage industrial pilot. for new products, calculation function or technologies. 

Main requirements:

For this position, we are looking for an engineer with some experience in technical/mechanical field or, ideally, frame manufacturing.

The following skills will be valued and appreciated for this position: comfortable in technical behaviour, capacity of deep analysis, project management and good communication.

This position is for someone who likes to work in a transversal, collaborative and international environment, within a dynamic and innovative team.

The candidate should be comfortable in English (French is a plus), curious, service and customer-oriented.

Some travel linked to the activity. (< 20%)
