Your role
The Process Engineer will be responsible for supporting, optimizing, and improving manufacturing processes within the Transitions Business Unit. This role contributes to operational excellence by driving process stability, quality performance, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory and safety standards. The position will work cross-functionally with operations and global engineering teams to ensure sustainable process performance and successful implementation of new products and technologies.
Main responsibilities:
- Analyze, monitor, and optimize manufacturing processes to improve quality, productivity, cost, and efficiency.
- Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for process deviations and quality issues.
- Support industrialization of new products, product transfers, scale-ups, and process validation activities in alignment with global engineering standards.
- Develop and maintain process documentation including work instructions, PFMEA, control plans, and standard operating procedures.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean, Six Sigma, and statistical process control methodologies.
- Coordinate with maintenance and technical teams to ensure equipment capability and uptime.
- Ensure all processes comply with safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical training and process guidance to production teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams across EssilorLuxottica global operations to align best practices and transfer knowledge.
Main requirements:
- Bachelor in Engineering, Chemical, Industrial, Mechatronic
- Advanced English
- Minimum of 2-5 years’ experience in manufacturing processes
- Knowledge of continuous improvement and problem-solving methodologies such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma.
- Basic knowledge of electromechanical control (contactors, sensors) and frequency inverters.
- Knowledge of automation and industrial process control.
- Search for targets for performance, scrap, cost and efficiency indicators.
- Understanding of the principles of Design of Experiments (DOE) and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Knowledge of statistical analysis software (MINI TAB).
- Ofiice, Power BI.
