Primary objective/General overview:

 

The credit controller position is accountable for credit management of a portfolio of customers, in line with group credit policies and procedures and in collaboration with the sales team.

 

Key accountabilities and responsibilities:

• Follow credit policies in line with the company guidelines and country best practices.

• Ensure proactive communication with customers by sending regularly statements of account and performing reconciliation.

• Analyze daily, weekly, and monthly customers’ credit balance to monitor collection & Overdue and identify issues.

• Prepare closing reports summarizing credit portfolio performance, trends, and proposed actions.

• Maintain strong relationships with customers, resolving any credit-related issues or disputes in a timely manner.

• Attend Monthly/weekly meeting with META Credit team to discuss credit KPIs and next actions.

• Organize & facilitate Monthly/weekly forums with Commercial Team to review customers credit situation and request support to improve collection

• Credit Hold Management - Blocked orders

• Monitor the payment plan of the customers

• Coordinate with Cash Banking team for Payment allocation and posting.

• minimize cash payments, reduce cheques payments improving the penetration of bank transfer or alternative methods (mobile payments, payment links, ect)

 

 

Qualification & Skills required:

• Minimum 3 years proven experience ( ideally in Credit Management, if not in general Finance)

• Bachelors degree in business or similar ( Ideally from reputable Business School in Morocco : ISCAE, ENCG, HEM…)

• Good analytical and problem solving skills

• Good verbal and written communication skills – Fluency in English essential (Arabic & French by default)
