Your Role
We are looking for an experienced and proactive Senior Operations Controller to act as a strategic partner to Operations Management, driving manufacturing performance, efficiency, and cost optimization through rigorous financial control and analytical insight.
The role will focus on costing, variance analysis, budgeting, and investment control, ensuring that all industrial areas operate in line with group targets and financial standards.
The ideal candidate will combine financial discipline with a deep understanding of operations processes, cost drivers, and manufacturing KPIs, partnering closely with Operations to ensure alignment between financial performance and production efficiency.
Main Responsabilities:
• Operations Controlling & Cost Management: Oversee and validate product cost structures, including Direct Material, Direct Labor, and Overheads. Ensure accurate and timely calculation of standard and actual costs, supporting cost-deployment and continuous-improvement initiatives.
• Variance Analysis & Performance Monitoring: Lead analysis of production variances (price, usage, mix, efficiency, absorption), identifying root causes and proposing corrective actions with Operations and Supply Chain teams.
• Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning: Coordinate the annual budget, monthly forecasts, and strategic plans for industrial areas, ensuring consistency across plants and alignment with Group Finance.
• Capex & Investment Control: Support investment evaluation and post-implementation reviews (ROI, payback, IRR), ensuring compliance with financial policies and capital efficiency targets.
• Business Partnering & Process Improvement: Collaborate with Plant Managers, Production, Engineering, and Procurement to support data-driven decisions, cost optimization projects, and WCM / Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
Main Requirements:
• Master Degree in Finance, Economics, Engineering, or Industrial Management.
• Proven experience (3-5/7+ years) in industrial controlling, plant finance, or operations controlling within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong expertise in standard costing, variance analysis, cost allocation, and production KPIs.
• Advanced knowledge of SAP CO / FI modules and Excel (Power Query, Pivot, Macros preferred).
• Excellent communication and business-partnering skills with Operations and Plant leadership.
• Analytical mindset, process orientation, and ability to translate data into actionable insights.
